Summary:A total of 167 vascular plant species were collected during field studies of the ruderal flora growing along roadsides and railway tracks in the area of Banja Luka (Bosnia and Herzegovina). Species belonging to the Eurasian, sub-Mediterranean and cosmopolitan floristic regions prevailed in numbers. In the biological spectrum of life forms, the predominant species were hemicryptophytes and therophytes. The aquired results were compared with flora in other ruderal habitats in the area of Banja Luka, as well as other areas.
