Summary:Effects of 15 carrier formulations on the growth of four strains of Bradyrhizobium japonicum, three strains of Shinorhizobium meliloti, eight strains of Rhizobium leguminosarum (three of which bv. phaseoli, three bv. viciae and two bv. trifolii); two strains of Rhizobium loti and two strains of Rhizobium galegae, all part of a collection of the Institute of Soil Science in Belgrade, Serbia, were investigated in relation to the control (peat + perlite). The carrier formulations tested showed different effects on the growth of strains of different species, as well as, those of a same Rhizobia species.
