Summary:Research of the way and correlation degree among traits presents a particular interest in the improvement methodology and techniques because it provides the possibility of establishing the determining causes of correlation and prediction of the improvement effects. It also shows the measure in which the improvement of a trait will bring about simultaneous and in time changes of other traits. This paper presents studies about phenotypical, genotypical and environmental correlations among: - live weight at first shearing and wool production; - live weight at first shearing and length of wool fibre; - wool production and wool fibre diameter. To assess the value of the correlation coefficient, analysis of variance and covariance were done, both using the pattern with two sources of variation. Then the coefficient of regression was calculated and the analysis of regression allowed the calculation of standard deviation of the correlation coefficient. In the end, the significance degree for each and every correlation was established. After calculation the following results were obtained: - significant correlations between live weight at shearing and wool production rF = 0.36 rG = 0.803 rM = 0.415; - not significant correlations between live weight at shearing and length of wool fibre rI = 0.146 rG = 0.914 rM = 0.205; - not significant correlations between wool production and wool fibre diameter rF = 0.168 rG = 0.867 rM = 0.080.
