Contributions to the establishment of the sugar beet cultivation technology in Baragan

The sugar beet reacts positively to the mineral and organic fertilization. The optimal doses of mineral fertilisers are P60-70 N130-140. The manure may be applied in a dose of 20-30 t/ha together with N mineral fertilizers. The ploughing, the basic soil work, is carried out at 30 cm depth. The sugar...

Summary:The sugar beet reacts positively to the mineral and organic fertilization. The optimal doses of mineral fertilisers are P60-70 N130-140. The manure may be applied in a dose of 20-30 t/ha together with N mineral fertilizers. The ploughing, the basic soil work, is carried out at 30 cm depth. The sugar beet seeding is carried out when we can enter the field, and the soil temperature at 4-5 cm depth reaches 4-5 gr.C. A density of 90-10,000 plants/ha will give the possibility of getting maximal productions. In order to get an optimal humidity in soil, the humidity level must be maintained over 50% a.h.i. on the depth of 0-80 cm. The chemical weed control is carried out before seeding, by application, of the following herbicides: Olticarb 6 lt/ha + Venzar 1,2 kg/ha, or Dual 5 lt/ha + Venzar 1,2 kg/ha.
