Concentrations of mineral elements in plants of eleven com1688munities around the Lake Jorzec were analysed. Considerable differences between plant species in quantities of calcium, potassium, sodium and chlorine were recorded. Concentrations of magnesium, sulphur and phosphorus in particular plant species were more or less similar. It appears that the major role in biological accumulation of mineral elements is played by associations Scirpo-Phragmitetum and Myriophyllo-Nuphar
