Investigation of substances present in Urtica dioica L. leaves. 2. Analysis of protein, amino acids and nitrogen non-protein substances

It was found that the leaves of Utrica dioica L. collected either before or after the florescence stage contained 27.4%-20.7% protein total. Sixteen free amino acids were found in them. The above crude drug proteins previously hydrolized produced 18 amino acids the number of which was not the flores...

Summary:It was found that the leaves of Utrica dioica L. collected either before or after the florescence stage contained 27.4%-20.7% protein total. Sixteen free amino acids were found in them. The above crude drug proteins previously hydrolized produced 18 amino acids the number of which was not the florescence stage dependent. The average content of the above amino acids total for each 100 g of protein total of the leaves was equal to 110.2 g and 100.6 g. All exogenous amino acids were present in the above hydrolyzates
