Summary:Summer and winter feeding of the cows in 2 groups of farms with differentiated proportion of grassland in the structure of agricultural areas were analysed. In summer feeding, based on the pasture, using of hay and straw on all the farms was worth to be mentioned. Winter feeding of the cows from 2nd group of the farms (those of high grassland share) was based on the haylage complemented with maize-silage and in 12 barns by 2-5 kg addition of ensiled beet tops. Among 20 farms from the group of less grassland share, haylage was used on 12, maize-silage on 13, whereas beet top silage and hay on 8. The concentrates amounting to 2-4 kg in summer and 3-6 kg in winter were used in all the farms. Differentiated feeding stuffs in rations made possibly their proper balancing
