Summary: | Contents of toxic metals in sheep's milk from the 3 following months of lactation period as well as in milk of goats maintained at 3 sites of Lublin region (Poland) have been recorded. The element levels (Pb, Cd, Zn, Cu, Fe) in milk have been analysed using AAS technique with flame atomization. It has been found that average contents of elements under study in sheep's and goat's milk had not exceeded the normatives recommended for goat's and cow's pasteurized milk. Goat's milk has contained less lead, cadmium and zinc, but more copper and iron in relation to sheep's one. It has been proved that sheep's lactation period and the localization of goat's maintenance had affected toxic element contents in milk |
