Summary:Published hitherto models describing the effect of a narrow tine on the soil gave different results of calculated working resistance. Side sections are considered as divided into elementary layers, each of them inclined at different angle to the vertical. Working resistance is considered as a function of two variables - rupture angle and critical depth. The experiments were conducted in soil bin to verify the model
