Summary:New designs of trieurs with pit grooves and wide pocket grooves to cleaning buckwheat seed, were presented. Geometric parameters of the grooves were determined considering physical properies of buckwheat seeds which are short fraction in process of mixture separation. The efficiency of trieurs was estimated on the basis of formulated theoretical ground defining construction and functional parameters. At the same cleaning efficiency the trieurs with pit grooves may reach an output 2.5 times higher, while these with of wide pocket grooves almost twice higher than the tradidional trieurs. Considering relatively low manufacturing costs, proposed solutions might be applicable in practice
