Summary:The results of laboratory studies on the process of microbiological desulfurication with the share of Desulfovibrio desulfuricans bacteria, employed in the treatment of food industry effluents were presented. It concerned mainly the effluents, coming from production of potato flour, milk processing, slaughter of pigs and fruit and vegetable processing. The parameters and results of industrial treatment of technological of heavily charged organic substrates, i.e. from fermenters, ripening room and barrel racking, such as being produced in waste treatment plant which was set in motion in 1991 at territory of Brewery Works in Siemianowice Slaskie, were also given
