Summary: | The experiment was conducted to observe the effects of pesticides on the population reduction of pests and predatory spiders in cotton crop. The results revealed that maximum populations of pests as well as spiders were recorded in untreated cotton as compared to treated cotton. Maximum populations of pests and spiders were recorded in July-August when the cotton was lush green with more numbers of pests. Confidor at 300 ml reduced the populations of pests as well as spiders. Maximum reduction percent (77.77%) of spiders was recorded. Similarly Maximum reduction percent of whitefly (79.16%), jassid (92.90%) and thrip (98.04%) was recorded throughout study period. |
