Summary:Studies were conducted to determine optimum fertilizer requirement for three promising varieties of cotton during 2002. Four doses of nitrogen fertilizer were applied during the season in three cotton varieties in split plot experimental design. The results indicated that 150 kg N/ha in silty clay loam soil is sufficient to harvest optimum yield from CIM-499, CIM-511 and CIM-707 cotton varieties.
