Summary:Physical features like temperature of air and water (during working hours), colour, depth, rate of flow of water, inorganic suspended solids, organic suspended solids, total suspended solids, dissolved organic matter, organic matter in bottom mud and salinity of water of Sadaryab River near Charsadda, NWFP Pakistan, were studied from October 1986 to January 1987. The mean values for these parameters were found to be 22.5 degree centigrade, 15.25 degree centigrade, greenish, 0.89m, 4.21 km/ha, 32 ppm, 67 ppm, 47 pp, 4380 ppm, and 0.12% respectively. The water of Sardaryab River was found more suitable for man, domestic animals crop, forests and aquatic life.
