Summary:An experiment was conducted in Leuwiliang, Bogor [Indonesia] (120 m asl) from August 1992 to January 1993 to evaluate the agronomic performance of 130 sweetpotato clones. The clones were selected from 1,500 seedlings derived from crosses involving 54 selected parents. The experiment was arranged in a group balanced block design with three replicates. The clones were grouped into nine sets of 12 tested clones and four check varieties each. The four check varieties were SQ 27, Rambo, Prambanan and BIS 183. The traits observed included marketable root yield and root quality. Farmers and traders were involved in selecting the clones with appropriate root quality. Based on the two criteria, 34 clones were selected
