Summary:A faunistic study of seven families of Chalcidoidea and ecological observations were performed in the state of Colima. Samplings considering physiographic zones from Colima were realized during a year. (From June 1985 to May 1986). The collecting from herbaceous trees and shrubs stratus was made by using a triangular hoop net. A total of sixty eight Chalcidoidea genus was obtained: twenty six of Eulophida , eighteen of Encyrtidae, eight of Chalcididae, eight of Eurytomidae, six of Mymariade and two of Eupelmidae. Dichotomic keys for these groups were elaborated. During spring and summer a higher generic diversity in low lands and/or coasted land was found.
