Summary:The purpose of work was to perform a survey on porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) using ELISA and PCR methods in Lithuanian swine farms in 2001-2007. Altogether 3766 swine serum samples were tested using ELISA in 2001-2007 and 1133 (30.1%) found to be positive. Respectively, 28.6%, (840/2933) – in 2001-2005, 34.3% (183/533) and 36.7% (110/300) positive samples were found in 2001-2005, 2006 and 2007.
