Summary:Nowadays, many little charged transformers in Estonian electrical networks are in maintenance. Due to understanding they have big idle losses. The method by the use of rated load using time for evaluating loading of transformers in article is given. Measured data about load curves in campus and weekly squared current characteristic in article are presented. Losses of electrical energy in Estonian Agricultural University (EAU) campus and losses in transformers and medium voltage cable lines in order to estimate possibilities of switching to central electrical energy counting on the medium voltage side in article are analyzed. Dependence of active energy consumption upon the character of load curve is observed separately.
