Summary: | The Lebanese flora is rich and varied. In spite of the many changes and amendments that have been introduced into the Taxonomic Literature of the region, very little has been done, in the past three decades, to update the status of the flora of Lebanon. In the process of revisiting the Lebanese flora and amassing a photographic record of it, we have come along quite a few new species and subspecies, (El-Haber,1989), that have never been described before (in preparation for publication). In addition, we have found a good number of species and subspecies that, seemingly, have escaped previous observation. This paper reports the occurrence of seven of the latter above mentioned group. These are: Monotropa hypopithys L., Crocus kotschyanus C. Koch subsp. cappadocicus Mathew, Scorzonera cana (C.A. Meyer) Hoffin var. radicosa (Boiss.) Chamberlain, Cressa cretica L., Chrysanthemum coronarium L. var. discolor Urv., Sternbergia lutea Ker-Gawler, and Oxalis articulata Savigny |
