Summary:Effect of 4 nutrient solutions on the growth and yield of several vegetable crops were investigated in hydroponics. Plants grown with Advanced Korean Standard Nutrient Solution showed the highest growth and yield, and Japanese Standard Nutrient Solution did the lowest in head lettuce, leafy lettuce and tomato. Blossom end rot of tomatoes was significantly severe in Japanese Standard Solution, while tolerable in Advanced Korean Standard Solution. The number of leaves showed positive correlation with fresh weight in leafy lettuce but did not in head lettuce. pH of Japanese Standard Solution lowered more rapidly than the other solutions according to the time passing
