Summary:This experiment was conducted to find out the effedt of competitve duration and denisity of Eleocharis Kuroguwai Ohwi in machine transplanting rice field. E. Kuroguwai was sprouting until 75 days after transplanting it was about 65.8% sprouting at 45 days after transplanting. Yield reduction of rice due to weed density was increased in higher density and 40 plant per £í2 was decreased about 20~24 percent. When E. Kuroguwai was not controlled during the 20,40,60,80 and 100 days after transplanting rice, yield was reducted by 1, 6, 25, 49 and 59% respectively.
