Summary:The purpose of this study is to propose the new dynamics of wheels through the theoretical and experimental studies of the "lift resistance" and "perpendicular adhesion", to obtain design theories of a wheel lug through the analyses of motion of a lugged wheel and the external forces acting on it, and to analyze the dynamics of a tractor based on the results of the above study. In this paper, the influence of the changes of ground contact pressure and the travel speed of the wheel on the perpendicular adhesion ratio, was studied through the development of a sensor which can measure perpendicular adhesion accurately
