Summary:A new disease of baby's breath (Gypsophila paniculata L.) and gerbera (Gerbera spp.) was observed in Okayama Prefecture in 1991. The fungus constantly isolated from symptomatic plants was identified as Fusarium sp. on the basis of morphological characteristics. Fusarium wilt of baby's breath and gerbera was proposed for the new disease name respectively.
