Summary:A new disease of prairie gentian (Eustoma grandiflorum Shinn.) was observed in Okayama Prefecture in 1996. The fungus constantly isolated from symptomatic leaves was identified as Stemphylium lycopersici on the basis of morphological characteristics and pathogenicity. Leaf spot of prairie gentian was proposed for the new disease name.
