Summary:Using a simple concept constructed by a well-mixed and a stratified water models, it is introduced that in general enclosed bays long time is needed to dissolve contaminant after stopping the load of contaminant from the land. Contaminant once dispersed in water area is difficult to converge. Even if the load from the land stops, accumulation in the bay bottom before stopping the load plays a role of source of contaminant. In a center of Lake Hamana, the behavior of contaminant depends on the vertical bay-topography, tidal condition and freshwater discharge.
