Summary: | Lycoris aurea and L. radiata bulblets ranging from 4 to 16 cm were planted at a density of 66.6 plants m*[-2) with the aim to evaluate the effect of bulblet size on bulb production. Both biometrical (number of leaves, length, width, fresh and dry weight) and yield parameters (number of bulbs/square m) increased according to the growing size of planted bulbs. The highest yield was obtained with L. radiata, which produced 253 bulbs m*[-2) by planting bulbs of size 14/16
