Summary:or identiying and determining the population density o endoparasitic nematodes o potato, totally 228 soil, root and tuber samples were taken rom dierent potato ields o Isahan province with recording the geographical data by GPS, during 2010 - 2011. or investigating o inection to potato rot nematode,sampling were randomly done rom some potato stors. The wormlike nematodes were extracted rom soil, root and tuber and the cysts were extracted rom soil by routine nematological methods. Extracted nematodes were ixed and mounted in glycerin and the vulval cone region o cysts was excised, then endoparasitic nematodes were identiied. Root samples o plant with suspected symptoms were examined under stereomicroscope as well as arm observations or inding the adult emales o potato cyst nematode. Population o endoparasitic nematodes was counted by counting slide beore ixing the samples and their population was determined per gram soil, root and tuber. The percentage o inected samples to each species and the mean population o them were determined, too. The results showed that 18.4% o soil samples and 23.6% o root samples were inected to Pratylenchus neglectus with the mean population o 1.65 and 11.65 nematodes per g soil and root respectively. 5.2% o soil and root samples were inected to P. thornei with the mean population o 1.61 and 27.86 nematodes per g soil and root, respectively. Ditylenchus destructor was ound in 15.7% o soil samples with the mean o 8.53 nematodes per g soil. Also, 19.7% o tuber samples were inected to potato rot nematode with the mean o 366.5 nematodes per g tuber tissue. In one o the soil samples, Zygotylenchus guevarai was ound with 1.12 nematode per g soil. Extracted cysts were belonged to cereal cyst nematodes, Heterodera ilipjev. Sampled regions and inection distribution to root lesion nematodes and potato rot nematode,were identiied on geographical maps,in dierent regions o Isahan districts.
