Summary:Recombination of gens among segregating populations starts from filial two and depending on the number of segregating loci will continue until several generations. This research including 110 populations of F2 obtained from cross-breeding delivered from Karaj, accompanied with 31 generations of F3, 23 generations of F4 and 72 generations of F5 that had been selected from last year, were studied by the method of modified bulk selection. In this method, selected plants in each generation (F2 and F3) were harvested based on selection critical. Then seeds were bulked together and formed next generation. Selection of plants was performed at three stages. Plants were selected at three different stages for favorite agronomic traits such as plant height, length of spike, uniform tillering and resistance to diseases. After harvesting, plants were selected for seed physical characteristics. In this research, 81 populations of F2, 27 of F3 and 38 family of F4 will be studied in eugenic programs of next year. Also, 42 lines from F5 entered into the New Barley Pure Lines (NBPL).
