Comprison of grain yield of wheat promising lines with check (pishtaz) in On farm condition of Mahvelat and Gonabad (Khorasan Razavi province)

In this reserch the yield of advanced and pcomising lines including Ug-514, Ug-520, S- 83-3, S-83-4, S-84-14, S-85-19, M-86-3, M-86-5, M-86-7, M-86-9,that have selected from lines in uniform experiments at Southern dry and marne climate, were compared with cv. Pishtaz and Spahan as control. This stud...

Summary:In this reserch the yield of advanced and pcomising lines including Ug-514, Ug-520, S- 83-3, S-83-4, S-84-14, S-85-19, M-86-3, M-86-5, M-86-7, M-86-9,that have selected from lines in uniform experiments at Southern dry and marne climate, were compared with cv. Pishtaz and Spahan as control. This study was performed in pilot farmers field of Mahvelat and Gonabad Sites as RCBD design on 2009-10 cropping. Each cultivar was planted on 8 rows, 25 cm apart and 6 m length. During the growing season some traits were recorded including planting date, percentage of emergence, reaction to cold conditions, spike emergence date, physiological maturity, response to diseases, plant height, number of spike per square meter, grain yield and 1000 kernel weight. Results showed that effect of location was significant(P0.01) for grain and biological yield, 1000 kernel weight, plant height and number of spike per square meter. Effect of genotyp was significant too, for grain yield, 1000 kernel weight, plant height, number of spike per squqre meter, grain number and grain weight per spike. Interaction between location × genotype was significant only for grain yield and plant. The gretest grain yield in both location belonged to S-83-3 and 4 lines selected from south warm climate with 7177 and 6772 kg/ha respectively. Amongst temperate lines, M-86-3 and 9 with 6514 and 6463 kg/ha grain yield were superior. The mean seed yield of all genotypes in Mahvelat with 6799.8 kg/ha was greter than Gonabad mean yield(ie. 5733.9 kg/ha) about 19%. This difference also obtained for biological yield in both locations.
