Summary:A part of damages on instruments, roads and farm are caused by gully erosion. Control corrections of gullies should be done with understanding morphometric characteristics, land use, soil and processes witch influence on the head cats and gully bodies. In this study, gully distribution and area, soil, morphologic characters, qualitative processes, classification and gully zonation, around the province were aimed. To match, gully areas with climatic areas, Jamab studies were used and during field studies numeric and attribute characteristics of morph climatic characters were measured. In this survey different parameters such as common plan , head plan , horizontal profile ,(Morphology) were studied. In every climatologically zone one gully with two treatments (if existed) was selected and morphological parameters were completed. In this study about 500 hec of lands were surveyed and morpho metric parameters of head cats in 25, 50 and 75 percents of length of gullies were measured. Most Gullies of Yazd are located in Moderate extra arid and Moderate arid climatologically zones. Soil texture in selected gullies of Yazd province is sandy in base and sandy loam in walls. Gullies are lateral and existed around natural drainages. Most gullies are located in talweg of hills.Kharanagh and Bahabad are denderitic. Aliabad and Hossainabad Gullies are pointed form. Studied gullies have and spot in scarp which show the effect of run off in their construction and distribution. More gullies are constructed in pastures and the others are in agricultural lands.
