Summary: | To study, compare and achieve new durum wheat cultivars more high yielding comparing to widely grown varieties, comprising resistance to diseases, lodging, shuttering and suitable quality for producing of Semolina and determination of valuable plant genetic resources received from International centers to be used in crossing blocks and active contribution, this research project including the following three nurseries were implemented in 2009-2010cycle. 1-IDYN(International Durum Yield Nursery)with 50 genotypes 2-IDSN(International Durum Screening Nursery) with 120 genotypes In IDYN trial grain yield of each entry was weighed separately. Combined variance analysis were implemented on the collected data based on statistical rules. High yielding Lines / Varieties, significant at 5% level were selected for advance trials of next crop season. Plot size in this experiment and IDSN nursery were 3.6 m² and 1.2 m² respectively. Lines / Varieties in observation nurseries were planted in no replicated trials, were studied in observation nurseries and measurement and calculation of results were based on Rank method and each location was assumed as one replication. Finally based on Rank method , comparing the yield of entries with checks and considering favorite morphological characters 64 and 23 superior lines/varieties were selected from IDSN and IDYN trials respectively for temprat area and 50 and 26 for warm area. |
