Summary:Plants with bacterial wilt symptoms were collected from potato fields in Isfahan, Jiroft and Hamedan during 2004-2005. Infected plants were streaked on SPA. Twenty five strains were purified. The result of important phenotypic tests including KOH3%, O/F, oxidase and catalase showed that they are gram negative, obligate oxidative, oxidase and catalase positive. Also, they induced Hypersensitive Reaction (HR) on tobacco. Their pathogenecity were confirmed two weeks after inoculating of potato and tomato. The result of NCM-ELISA indicated that all strains were belong to Ralstonia solanacearum. The reaction of twelve potato cultivars was evaluated in a Randomized Complete Design with four replications, based on Winsted and Kelman method, in greenhouse. Data analysis of each replication showed that they were significantly different at 1% level. Mean comparative of scores indicated that Kofri gyoti, with fifth degree, were susceptible like as susceptible check. Totally Kofri gyoti and silvester cultivars were more susceptible than that of others. other cultivars including Buren, Renger Russet, Piccaso, Kofri Padsha, Goliaft Sante, Kofrigypsona, Chandramorfi and Inova were rather susceptible. None of them were resistance to R. solanacearum.
