Yield compareison of promising salinity tolerante lines of wheat in on- farm conditions
In this study 5 promising salinity tolerant lines that had been selected of MS- 85 trial , including numbers MS- 85- 12, MS- 85- 15, MS- 85-17 ,MS-84-13and MS-84-16 with checks ( Bam, Nishabor and Kavir) were used and evaluated . Summary: | In this study 5 promising salinity tolerant lines that had been selected of MS- 85 trial , including numbers MS- 85- 12, MS- 85- 15, MS- 85-17 ,MS-84-13and MS-84-16 with checks ( Bam, Nishabor and Kavir) were used and evaluated . This experiment was done in two locations Akbarabad and َAmirabad region EC of irrigation water and saturated soil extract was 8.55 and 13.66 ds/m for Akbarabad and 7.2 and 12.88 for Amirabad respectively.. The experiment was done as randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 3 replications. Characteristics such as days to heading (DHE), days to maturity ( DMA),plant height( PLH), pedancal length(PL), thousand kernel weight(TKW), and grain yield( YLD) were measured. Analysis of variance in Akbarabad region showed that lines and verities had significantly difference at 1% level for grain yield, peduncle length, days to maturity, thousand kernel weight (TKW) ,plant height and for grain yield at 5% . Analysis of variance in amirabad showed that lines and verities had significantly difference at 1% level for days to heading (DHE) , thousand kernel weight(TKW) and for number of kernel per spike/ at 5% . lines MS-85-number 12, 15 and 17 with grain yield of 2.19, 2.27 and 2.24 in Akbarabad and with 2.95, 2.56and 2.76 ton/ha in Amirabad were better and same as the checks . these lines were selected for studying extensional research designs. |
