Summary:Drought stress as one of the most important abiotic stress play a role decreasing genetic variation in the crops. Evaluation of international germplasm for creating genetic variation is necessary. This investigation was carried out in ICARDA bread wheat material which have 5 separate observation tests: l-5th Winter wheat observation nursery for rainfed areas(5,h WWON-RF) ,2- 5,h Winter wheat observation nursery for irrigated Areas(5,h WWON-IR).3-11th Facultative and winter wheat observation nursery(l 1th F AW WON), 4- 6th Facultative and winter wheat elite yield trial for rainfed areas(6tb EYT-RF) 5- 6th Facultative and winter wheat elite yield trial for irrigated areas(6tb EYT-IRR). Test one and 2 contains 125 genotype.each. 3rd has 146 genotypes and 4lh and 5th have 25 genotypes each. Results showed that there is variation for characters studied. Correlation coeficients showed that yield has significant and positive coiTelation with days to flowering(DHE). Thus selection for earliness and high grain yield can be combined. Based on studied phenotypic charactristics lines that were selected fiom 5th WWON-RF and WWON-IR will be included in preliminary bread wheat yield trial(PBWYT) next year. In 11th FAWWON based on studied charactristics and ranks of earliness the selected lines No. 11.12,22.23.32,48.58.87.91.104,121 and 143. Trial 6th EYT was evaluated for stress and non-stress conditions. Results indicated that lines differ based on drought resistance indices. Drought stress index(STI) have significant and positive correlation of yield under stress and non-stress conditions. In this trial lines No. 16,21 and 23 have high STI. Result of factor analysis showed that first principle component analysis(PCAl) and second principle component analysis(PCA2) have 99.98% available variation of the total data matrice. Results of analysis of PCA1 and PCA2 based on Bi-Plot indicated that high yield region and drought resistance are located in lines No.,5.16 and 21
