The possibility of alternate bearing decraeseing in Unshiu mandarin using pruning and girdling in west of Mazanadran province

Irregular (biennial) bearing in citrus cultivars caused by several factors and are divided to external and internal plant conditions. This problem can be solved by some horticultural techniques and nutrient. In this project, a RCBD design and split plot analysis with 5 tratements including 10% and 20% heading, girdling, combination of heading and girdling and control have been done on unishiu mandarin. The obtained results showed that some tratements are significant. The most appropriate tratements were 20% heading of trees after full bloom and 20% heading + girdling
