Summary:For evaluation of main generative and vegetative characteristics of eight native clones of Azerbaijan apricots, carried out a study based on RCB randomized statistical design with 10 treatments including Haft-baradaran, Sefid, Noras, Qara-tabarza, 269, 414, 469, 416 clones and Ordubad and Dorosht cultivars as control in 3 replicates at Sahand Horticultural Research Station. The main goal of this research was diversity creation in present crop of inner markets and enhancement of export ability. Results showed that all applied clones didn't have significant difference in yielding in comparison with controls but Noras clone was earlier ripen at least two weeks than Dorosht cultivar and higher quality than other native early ripen cultivars. Haft-baradaran and 414 clones were colored better than Ordubad cultivar. Clone 269 showed fresh and processed consumptions ability and finally, Sefid clone produced the biggest fruit among them and its fruit/stone weight ratio was higher than others. Therefore, these clones were chosen as promising clones and considered for regional tests in future.
