Summary: | Appearance of different traits in genotypes are under genetic and environmental controls. Interaction effect of genotype x environment results different reaction of genotypes in different environments, so determination of genotypes adaptability in different environments is necessary. In this study 16 winter and facultative bread wheat genotypes plus the three check cultivars (totally 19 genotypes) were evaluated under normal irrigation (11 research stations) and post-anthesis drought stress conditions (7 research stations) in 2008/09 and 2009/10 cropping seasons. Experimental design in all stations was randomized complete block with three replications. Results of combined ANOVA for normal irrigation showed effect of location, and location x year and genotype x location x year interactions, and for drought stress condition effect of genotype, and location x year, genotype x location and genotype x location x year interactions were significant. Based on results of stability analysis using simultaneous selection for yield and stability, under normal irrigation genotypes C-87-11, C-87-12 and C-87-13 with average grain yield of 7024, 7242 and 6932 kg ha-1, respectively were determined as the most superior genotypes for irrigated condition. However, under drought stress, genotypes C-87-6, C-87-11 and C-87-18 with average grain yield of 5512, 5431 and 5465 kg ha-1, respectively were determined as the most superior genotypes for post-anthesis drought stress condition. In this study, estimation of remobilization of pre- anthesis assimilates under irrigation and drought stress condition was 16%, and estimation of pre-anthesis photoassimilate contribution to grain (PAPCG) under normal irrigation and drought stress conditions was 28% and 32%, respectively. |
