Summary:In order to classification of Iranian wheat breeding stations, 15 lines/cultivars with different growth habit and vernalization were sown in three sowing dates (12 Oct., 1Nov. and 21 Nov.). Experiments were carried out in Split Plot design based on RCBD with three replications in three cropping seasons. Sowing date and genotypes considered as main and sub plots respectively. Each genotype was planted in six 4m rows. Yield from stations in three years were analyzed to determine the best sowing date for each location. Results of combined analysis showed that the first date (Oct. 12) was suitable for the most of locations except Zarghan and Esfehan in which there were not significant differences between first and second dates. The third sowing date was not suitable for any locations. The results of cluster analysis based on mean of the days to heading of genotypes in each sowing date classified 18 stations into three groups:1) Varamin, Mashhad, Karaj, Zarghan, Esfehan, Khorramabad and Neishabour. 2)Ardebil, Arak, Hamedan, Miandoab, Kermanshah (Eslamabad), Gazvin, Zanjan, Khoy, J.Rokh and Eglid. 3) Darab. In first and third groups spring wheat had mostly high grain yield, whereas in the second group winter or facultative wheat showed high grain yield.
