Summary: | In order to transfer new technology and research findings to the farmers and to evaluate advanced and promising lines of durum wheat under on farm condition, six lines as well as the check (Aria) were evaluated in two regions of the province in 2005-2006. The experiment was laid out in an R.C.B.D with three replications and six treatments, the plot size was 25 m-2, and 450 seeds were sown in each square meter. Rows were 20 centimeters apart. Lines studied in previous experiments at agricultural research station of Gonbad and in other temperate regions of the country, outyielded the checks. The study was carried out to compare yield and other traits with check under on farm condition. Note taking of the important characters were done during the season, simple and combined of variance were performed for each region and all regions, respectively. The results revealed that the genotypes (SKEST//HUI/TUB/3/SILVER ) had higher yield than those of others Haji Ghoshan and Kalaleh. The combined analysis revealed that treatment 4 (SKEST//HUI/TUB/3/SILVER ) had the higest yield (3945 kg/he), followed by Aria (3688 kg/he).Because of suitable agronomic characters of the genotype and the importance of wider genetic variability of the cultivated varieties to avoid probable losses due to biotic and biotic stresses bearing in mind the sustainable agriculture, the genotype (SKEST//HUI/TUB/3/SILVER) might be recommended for the regions studied. |
