Summary:This trial was carried out to determine cropping requirements of Nai-60 and Siren lines in Khazar beach regions. In order to determine the suitable planting date, variety and seed rate, This trial was done as split-split plot design in RCBD layout for two years (1999- 2001). Planting date, variety and seed rate were considered as main plot, subplot and subsub plot, respectively. Combined analysis seed yield and mean comparison was combined analysis and the means were compared based on Duncans Multiple Range Test showed that seed yield was affected by years and the highest yield was obtained in first year. Mean comparisons for two years showed that the second planting date and variety Shanghai were the best treatments. Although the most seed yield was obtained from 450 seeds per square meter, but it had not significant difference with 400 seeds per square meter. Therefore regarding to weather conditions of thisregion and in order to decreasing lodging and competition bewean plants, 400 seeds per square meter was recommended.
