Summary:The study was carried out on the land near Telafar where the calcareous soils are distributed to the north and eastern area while the gypsiferous soils are distributed to the west and southern areas. Four profiles were selected for the study of free oxides (Iron, Aluminum and Silicon), in addition to some important physical and chemical properties concerned. The results showed that the free oxides content of the calcareous and gypsiferous soils are homogeneous and it decreased in the calcareous soils. In the same manner, the distribution of free Aluminium and Silicon oxides are shown in the studied profiles but the content in gypsiferous soils is higher than that of calcareous soils
