Summary:Field experiment was conducted during kharif 1996-97 and 1997-98 on integrated management of root-knot nematode (Meloidogyne incognita) in brinjal with application of oilcakes like neem, mahua, poultry manure each as separate treatment applied 15 days before transplanting and seedling bare root dip with carbosulfan alone as another treatment followed by post planting application of carbofuran in each treatment. Among the various treatments, combination of neem oil cake @ 2 t/ha as pre-planting application followed by carbofuran @ 1.5 kg a.i./ha as post planting application proved to be the most effective treatment in reducing the root knot nematode population and increasing the yield of brinjal.
