Summary:Experiment were conducted to find out the influence of puddling implementations on percolation rate and grain yield of rice. Increase in grain yield was 40.3 percent over conventional method at 4 passes of power tiler. The increase was attributed to the increased a availability of moistures by way of reducing downward percolation, the percolation rate in conventional puddle soil was 1.27 mm hr-1 as compared to power tiller (0.29 mm hr-1).
