Summary:One hundred layers of commercial hybrid strain of 26 weeks of age were distributed into 25 groups with 5 groups per treatment and maintained for 80 days. The greater yellowish skin of birds fed on higher level of parthenium may be owing to the presence of xanthophyll pigments at higher level in parthenium meal even at 2% dietary level caused significant increase in yolk colour over that of the control group. All the birds in different experimental groups were normal and healthy. On post-mortem examination their internal organs were seen to be normal.
