Summary:During 1979, intercrops like redgram, greengram and soybean did not prove to be competitive with sorghum. However, redgram with sorghum offered competition when redgram was at 100% and sorghum at 50% of the normal population. During 1980, greengram proved to be competitive with sorghum. Intercrops of greengram and soybean in redgram did not show much of competition with red gram during 1979. Whereas in 1980, which was comparatively dry, greengram was highly competitive with redgram.
