Summary:One application of systemic insecticide followed by five applications of contact insecticides was found more economical than all other schedules consisting of less or more than five applications of contact insecticides. By missing the 5th application in a normal spray schedule with quinalphos, decrease in the net profit, however, was marginal; but further reduction in spray applications in the normal schedule caused considerable decrease in net profit.
