On growing of sea bass (Lates calcarifer, Bloch) under different stocking densities in floating net cages

Growing of seabass (Lates calcarifer, Bloch) under different stocking densities was studied. Three treatments of the stocking density (20, 30 and 40 fishes per cage) with an initial mean weight of 100, 138 and 95 grams, respectively, were placed into floating net cages measured 1 x 1 x 1.5 m each. Summary:Growing of seabass (Lates calcarifer, Bloch) under different stocking densities was studied. Three treatments of the stocking density (20, 30 and 40 fishes per cage) with an initial mean weight of 100, 138 and 95 grams, respectively, were placed into floating net cages measured 1 x 1 x 1.5 m each. Fish were fed with trash fish (ponyfish) two times a day. All stocking density treatments resulted in final mean weight of 708.3, 723.3 and 623.3 grams, and daily mean weight increments were 4.05, 3.92 and 3.53 grams, respectively. Mortality during the experiment for all treatments was 0 percent with the food convertion ratio 4.06, 4.00 and 5.8, respectively.
