Summary:The culture trial was aimed to find out the effect of various water depth on the growth rates of Eucheuma cottonii. Seven levels of water depth were evaluated : 0, 30, 60, 90, 120, 150, and 180 cm from the water surface. The result after 6 weeks of culturing period showed that the seaweed culturing at the depth of 0, 30, and 60 cm had the good growth rates, were 5.90 percent/day, 3.40 percent/day and 2.47 percent/day.
