Summary: | Experiment on multicrops thresher performance was held in Maros Research Institute for Food Crops from July 1990 to March 1991, with revolutions of the threshing drum 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, and 900 rpm as treatments, using completely randomized design with four replications. The experiment result showed that revolution of threshing drum influenced the capacity, percentage of whole grain, daemaged grain, unthreshed grain and straw at the outlet of the thresher. The higher revolutions of threshing drum, the higher capacity, and the lower percentage of whole grain, nevertheless the best revolutions were 600 and 700 rpm where the machine would be stable. The performance of multicrops thresher TH6-M-2 was better than paddy thresher TH6 and multicrops thresher TH6-M-2 was better than paddy thresher TH6 and multicrops thresher TH6-M-1 in threshing paddy, soybean and maize. |
