Summary:The aim of this experiment was to study the effect of utilization of fish meal, shrimp meal and casein in ration on growth and conversion of jelawat fry (Leptobarbus hoeveny). Twenty five jelawat fry with initial average weight of 0.083 g were kept in the aquarium. The fry were given randomly three ration consisting of fish meal, shrimp meal and casein, respectively, at a rate of 10 of their body weight per day. The three rations have similar protein level, namely 40 protein. The results of experiment indicated that response of growth and feed conversion of jelawat fry to the feed consisting of fish meal, shrimp meal and casein are similiar protein level, namely 40 protein. The results of experiment indicated that response of growth and feed conversion of jelawat fry to the feed consisting of fish meal and casein are similiar, the growth rate and feed conversion value of fry ranging between 5.72-5.87 per day and 1.46-1.55, respectively.
